Pin Domination :)

Who doesn't love Pinterest? Well ok I actually have met a few that didn't but I think the main reason for that was simply because they couldn't grasp the concept or were confused by how to use the site. The way I always explain it to my friends who don't have it is by telling saying, "You know how people make bulletin boards and thumb tack projects they like or magazine clippings or even photos up, its like that. You "pin" virtual things you like to your virtual "board" and its a way of remembering the items you like or the recipes you want to try.  Follow Mine Here
Thats Pinterst in a nut shell, you pin the things you like and to get to the item you click on it then once it appears bigger you click on it again to be taken to the original website that had the item or recipe.
Well I thought I would share with you all some of my favorite pins that I have tried out and or bought, then you can just pin this post to your "Approved" or ""Thumbs Up" boards....

Beef Stroganoff (Crock Pot)

Its weird but a lot of the time I steer clear from crock pot meals, it just seems like many of them have very difficult recipes to follow. Such as searing the meat first, for me having to cook the meat first completely defeats the purpose of a crock pot meal. When I cook in the crock pot I do it for ease, not so I have a bunch of pots to clean and 20 steps to follow, I might as well just throw the rest of the ingredients in after cooking the meat in the pot and cook the whole thing in the pot 100X faster.
This recipe is amazing, I did half it every time I cook it though, and instead of beef broth I just measure out 7 oz of water (which is half) and add a beef bullion cube. Theres always plenty left over for our little family. Also I never have Worsh. Sauce so I use Soy Sauce instead.

Coconut Pound Cake

I loved this recipe! And that glaze, oh my! I took a loaf to a girls night that me and some friends get together for and I was sincerely embarrassed by all the attention it/I was getting, and also by how much I was eating of it :) I also like how out of the ordinary it is, its fun, different, and unexpected.

Okay so I read this tutorial slash recipe and it was like a light bulb in my head, like an "ohhhh im an idiot for not thinking of that!" Simply put all you do for iced coffe to not make it taste watered down is to brew very strong coffee ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Her method is alot more complicated then what ive adapted it to but my way came from her way so I thought I would give credit were credit was due.
Audrey's Way: step 1)pack a butt load of coffee grounds into your coffee maker or like me into my k-cup, then only brew with minimal amount of water into a mason jar.
step 2) if using kureg machine repeat step one into the same mason jar twice.
step 3) secure concoction with mason jar lid and place in fridge for a couple of hours (one at the least) or until your ready to drink it.
step 4) fill glass 1/4-1/2 the way full, add two teaspoons sugar, then add milk until the glass is 3/4 full, finally add ice and enjoy.

Ive added vanilla syrup (found in coffee aisle in an italian jar) and or a teaspoon of chocolate syrup or Nesquick to my glass for a vanilla iced coffee or a Mocha one. If you like a richer version add cream instead of milk.....its so much better that way but waaaay fatter.

Day Dreaming

It all started with a little day dream that dwarfed into something way bigger. In June I started wondering what I would do for our five year anniversary in July, I always put a lot of thought into gifts and such since its my "Love Language".
As I was brainstorming about what gifts I should and shouldn't get him I was like, "hey I should surprise him with a trip to Denver for us!" I was thinking a night at a B&B eating somewhere waaay too nice for normal occasions, you know somewhere like the Melting Pot or The Brazilian Grill. So I was thinking I should take a little out of the next two or three checks then surprise him, but then I started getting worried he would be secretly annoyed with how much I had saved behind his back....So one night when the time was right ;) I mentioned that we should do something extra special (because the past two years anniversaries have been super l.a.m.e. one of which we both forgot until half way through the day) for our 5 year. He got all excited and was like hey lets do a road trip instead, somewhere we've never been, hey lets go far, hey lets go to Yellowstone! So immediately I was super pumped, I'm all about traveling, theres just something inside me that is so crazy about it. I can dream and dream about trips and going places. I got right out of bed and started googling things on my phone on my back porch (stealing WIFI) and looked up how far it was and where you stay and such. I was so sold on the trip and we've been saving and planning ever since. We finally put the finishing touches on our trip and we leave in a little over a week. Heres some of the places we are staying!!!! EEEEEkkke!

Jackson, WY

So originally the first night of our trip we were supposed to stay HERE, it had taken me forever to find somewhere that was both decent and decent priced and we finally decided on that B&B which was only $149 a night. I wasn't super in love with it for some reason but I was still content. The day after I booked the room I got a Voicemail from Hotel.com saying they had an urgent message for me, I was so scared, I thought for sure they were going to leave me high and dry and there would not be any other places to stay. Sure enough when I got ahold of them (after some prayer) they informed me that the B&B I had booked could not accommodate us due to some renovations. They would however find me another room he said, I told him I wasn't so sure because it took me quite awhile to find that one. In my head im thinking, "what junk room are they going to put me in for $149 a night," which in/around yellowstone is nothing for a night. He listed off some places and while on the phone I looked them up, I checked one off the list because an 80 year old had to of been the interior decorator, and then the others I noticed were nice....Oh my goodness was I seriously getting helped by a business and not getting the run around! The whole phone call the representative was so nice and very helpful and even patient while I decided which one I wanted to stay at. I ended up picking this one because my husband really wanted to stay at a "cabin-ey" decorated place and this sorta fit the bill oh and because it was really nice. :) So they set me up with this place, apologized, and then ontop of that when we were hanging up he informed me that hotels.com was going to email me a voucher to use towards my next hotels.com booking....yeah big ol JAW DROP

This hotel is like I don't know, G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! When we were trying to figure out were to stay this one kept sticking in my head. I was getting really frustrated because it was out of our budget but I just couldn't help but dream of staying there. My husband and I even got into a disagreement over it at one point which ended up with a good morning kiss and an apology. Well after the whole hotel mix up and voucher guess who was able to afford a room here :) muh-ha-ha-ha. Oh yeaaaah! Im serious God is so good, even in the "little things," he spoils this girl all the time. Over the past several years here are some of the things that have been dropped into our lap; almost new pillow top serta mattress, 2 computers, a glider, almost new couches, the vehicle I drive, a medical bill being payed off, a used shed, a new crib, a new jeep stroller.... These have all been things the Lord has provided us through peoples gifts, or cast offs, oh yeah and I won a new shot gun last fall too. Some people would probably just think I'm lucky, or that I'm in the right place at the right time but I know better. My father loves to take care of his creation, he loves to make my heart sing, and I like to think its so that in turn I can refresh others with blessings too.

You can buy a smores kit at the restaurant and cook them in a fire pit inside this teepee! How'd they know smores are my fave?

Hiatus

My bad. Long time no talk. We've been keeping it old school around here for a couple months and my blog really felt the brunt of it. I cancelled my internet after being on the phone with the provider for literally three hours and transferred at least 8 times, "disconnected" once, and on hold once for 45 minutes all in one sitting. When I got so sick I could throw up in my router box and mail it to them over how awful their customer service was I finally just told the man I was on the phone with to cancel my service. I said I was tired of dealing with them and their billing was always messed up. When he told me to enjoy the rest of my day I said, "I will, I'm going to go punch dance my rage out now." If you've never seen "Hot Rod" then that quote doesn't make any sense and you don't have to laugh. If you have this provider then I'm sure you have a sneaky suspicion that I'm talking about your provider.  I shouldn't come out right and say their name because it wouldn't surprise me if those dummies would sue me for slander or something but I'll give you a clue....They have the worst customer rating and their company name starts with and "A" and also has two "T's" in it.
Well anyways thats why I haven't put any posts up or cute tutorials, I'm sorry, but if your that worked up about it you can go punch dance your rage out on the lawn of one of their business. :) I was however randomly able to half way keep up with my facebook, all I had to do was walk to the edge of my lawn in my backyard and point a certain direction and "borrow" somebody's wireless that wasn't password protected. How kind of those neighbors to be so generous lol.
I'll just do a short post now and save an awesome one for later.
