Baby Quilt For A Friend

  A sweet friend just had a baby girl. I know, I know, wheres' the pink?
Isn't pink just so obvious?
I went a different route with this one. I still really feel like its feminine with all the flowers and the huge flowers that are quilted on.
It was a pretty quick quilt (of my own design) but don't tell my procrastination that.
Not sure what it is with quilts but after I cut the pieces out I run out of steam and the piles just sorta sit there for a month or five. Haha
The fabric collection is Raveena. I ordered a pack from HERE

 My daughter did such a great help modeling.
This was her first job ;)

Love the way the quilting looks on the back minky

Quilt Top

Finished a new quilt top for a baby girl. The fabric collection is called Ravenna.
It did not turn out like I was expecting but with the quilting I thjbk I'll end up loving it.
I'll make sure and share pictures after it's all quilted and bound.
I already can't wait.

Gunner Dog Needs Your Help

My cousin just found out right before they're getting ready to move that she must pay for a ticket for her dog also. On such a short notice they're scrambling. Every dollar helps. Thank you all.

Labor and Delivery Verses

Here is a list of bookmarked passages I made the last few months of my pregnancy. These are the verses that spoke to me at the time. I encourage you to search the word yourself and bookmark the ones that stir your heart. I really like my Bible app because you can label your bookmarks and store them together which was perfect for looking through during labor. I specifically spoke out the first one during labor and it really gave me such a peace picturing Jesus holding me close to his heart.
I hope this list gives you a head start or shows you some you may have not seen before.

"He will feed His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs with His arm,
And carry them in His bosom,
And gently lead those who are with young" Isaiah 40:11

"By You I have been upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise shall be continually of You." Psalm 71:6

"And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." 1 john 5:15

"The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him." Psalm 28:7

"The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace." Psalm 29:11

"You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah" Psalm 32:7

"The angel[a] of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them." Psalm 34:7

"How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings." Psalm 36:7

" Be happy in the Lord. And He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." 1 John 5:14-15

"In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul." Psalm 138:3

"For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16

"So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty." Zechariah 4:6

"He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:29-31

" Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

"Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:4-5

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

I don't know if it was being so pregnant and due around christmas but I had such a deep respect for Mary during my last stretch of pregnancy and all that she went through. It really drove it home.

Mary’s Song

46 And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
    of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
    holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
    from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
    he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
    but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
    but has sent the rich away empty.”    Luke 1:46-53

Mommy's Pick II "Favorite Childrens Book"

Brief Thief by: Michael Escoffier

This book was my daughters favorite out if the bunch. I'm sure it had little to do with the toilet humor the book is peppered with. :D
I liked it for it's adorable illustrations.
One cute story about a Geoko using what's in hand and paying for it later.
