Trouble

When times get hard, when things go wrong we tend to become bitter. We seem to gravitate towards the "why me?" I am not trying to down play pain or sorrow but I am believing that I can take away the sense hopelessness of someone some where. Or come along beside you and walk with you a little. Chances are you have experienced pain or trauma or a best friend or family member has. Maybe it didn't turn you bitter or angry, maybe you didn't shake your fist at God. Who knows though for someone it could be the God you doubted was there days before you suddenly not only believed in but now bitterly hate. You hate how you feel his enormous invisible hands move you like a pawn into a place you never wanted to go to in your life. Well I seriously doubt it's Gods hate for you, or even that he wanted to see you suffer. The fact is once Eve bit that Apple mans days were numbered, we live on a fallen world. A world were we don't live forever, one where we get sick, hurt, or even someday maybe hurt someone. I feel when something bad happens to me and I feel the "why me," it's on the verge of being prideful. It's me overlooking that whatever I'm going through hundreds if not thousand of people have gone through it or will. Your clerk, your neighbor, your mother, have been through trauma, loss, death, rape, injustice, rejection. Did God see this? Yes. Did God want this to happen? No.
A God with these attributes would never!

Maybe your life experience has made you even think, "there is no God!"
I'll have to tell you it takes more faith to be an atheist then to be a bible believing Christian. I may have just confused some people with that statement so let me explain. Did you know over 300 prophesies of a man that had not yet been born were written down well before he even lived. Here are some prophesies about Jesus

Psalm 91:1-2: "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'”

"He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint."
Philippians 4:19

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Proverbs 1:33

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ."
Philippians 4:6-7

"I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him."
Psalms 40:1-3

None of those verses say you won't go through bad things, they do say God is there, he sees you. He will be there for you. He does care about you.

A slave woman, gave God the name El Roi in Genesis 16:13. El Roi mean "the God who sees." She was the only one to my knowledge in the Bible that ever personally gave a name to God. He saw her situation, he saw her all alone, he saw her need. Just like this girl http://www.epm.org/blog/2012/Mar/23/god-who-sees-me-achus-hope

Just like he sees you and you're situation.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 6:23

Not saved from pain or death or struggle but saved from a life that was fleeting and would eventually come to an end. God has more for you then just the years we manage to get on this earth. Take it.

some of the fulfilled prophesies of Jesus

I'm preaching to the choir here, I was just really sorting through some of my own thoughts, feeling, and convictions.
